Your Film Acting Career - M.K. Lewis

Contains excellent information about getting started in an acting career, but also includes advice on how to manage your career after you've become established. Hopefully I'll be using those later sections soon.

Acting A to Z - Katherine Mayfield

A complete guide to acting terminology, as well as an introduction to how things work behind the scenes. Perfect for anyone new to the acting profession and a good refresher for those of us who've been at it for a while.

Smart Actors, Foolish Choices - Katherine Mayfield

Acting, like any performing arts profession, can be extremely stressful and emotionally taxing. This book gives many insightful tips on how to deal with rejection, fear, and other anxieties that come with the job.

This was the first acting book I bought and it's probably been the most helpful to my career. Features advice on getting started, tools of the trade, and information on the various regional markets

Acting Professionally - Robert Cohen

This book focuses on the craft of acting as well as the business side, with tips on auditioning and how to best present yourself as an actor. Not my personal favorite, but it has some great information.
